Precious: One of the Most Important Movies of the Year
Paula Patton and Gabourey Sidibe
Precious, the movie produced by Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey is one of the most important movies of the year. Any story that can tell the struggle of a teen in such a way that it encompasses a personal struggle, a family crisis, and an upward battle for self enlightenment is a movie worth seeing. It opened nationwide last weekend and is worth your money. Variety is reporting that its grossed 100k per screen in the 18 locations that it opened at this weekend! That’s remarkable. That’s also $1.8M.
