Lifestyle Change: Day 69 of 70- Getting Off The Fence

July 3rd, 2010

You know those times in your life when you’re stuck in the middle? You don’t know when to go left or go right. You wanna try something new but you’re so used to doing things a certain way that you just ride the fence. But, riding that fence sure can be uncomfortable sometimes. As your riding the fence, you know you’re not comfortable, cause I know I’m not. So, what do we have to do to get off the fence? Here’s my breakthrough of the day:

If you want something different in your life, you have to try something different. If you’ve gone left all of your life and your bored, you gotta go right. If you’ve done everything all by yourself your entire life, now is the time for you to share. Let someone else see one of your toys! Comfort can be a form of slavery. We get so used to it that we don’t want to do anything else even if we know that we got blisters from riding that fence for so long. I’ve decided to get off the fence in being a solopreneur and really begin to hire people to work with me and share in what I’ve built. I’ve decided to get off the fence. And, so far, I’m liking it.

In what area of your life have you been riding the fence for too long? Come on now! Be honest…

I’ve done my best to get off the fence(permanently), but I can definitely relate to you wanting to be a solopreneur. I used to feel that if all I had to be accountable for was myself, then I wouldn’t have to blame anyone if I fail, and I could get all the praise when I succeed. Plus, I wouldn’t have to worry about anyone else not doing things the way I wanted them done, but I’ve learned very differently. Great things and things that last are not built by one person. No one is a “self-made” millionaire because if it wasn’t for the support of others, they wouldn’t have millions. Good blog.
