Although I understand a critics role in the entertainment business, several years ago I decided that I’d see whatever film, or read whatever book, or buy whatever album that I wanted REGARDLESS of what the critics have to say. And, this was definitely the case when I agreed to go with the fam to see The Last Airbender. Every review that I laid my eyes on panned the film. The critics are treating Shyamalan like he graduated from high school and started shooting films yesterday. In a word, most critics hated the film. But you know what? Who cares? As a filmmaker, you make the film for the people who are going to view it, you make it for yourself, and you deal with the decisions along the way. I did see it. I think its a challenge to take a recent animation and turn it into a film because folks want the movie to be like the animation. This film is NOT exactly like the animation. Deal with it. Support the franchise or not. But this film is not exactly like the Avatar cartoon. Consider yourself informed.    The trailer is below.
