Lifestyle Change: Day 70 of 70 – This is the end!

Me and My Cousin at the family reunion

Yes, I’ve made it to the 70th day. All I can say is I’m glad. It was hard pouring out my soul and being introspective during this time. But going through this made me realize that I must listen to my inner voice and do things that make me feel good and make MY life worth living. So here’s my breakthrough…

My family on my Dad’s side has a family reunion every year. Sometimes I’m working and I don’t attend, but I enjoy myself every time that I go. This year I got to reconnect with cousins that I don’t ever get a chance to talk to–it was OUTSTANDING. I’ve read many comments from my twitter family and how they’ve talked about how negative family can be. This is true in many instances. But, I try to remember to socialize with my positive family members and leave the negative ones behind. I love my family but I don’t like all of their ways. Embrace the ones who treat you well and simply leave it at that. Some family members you can take every day others need to be on an extended vacation. Whatever the case, be true to yourself and kind to yourself.

Take this moment to think about a family member who is kind to you. Reach out to that person, say hello. As they say, blood is thicker than water…

**This is the end of me blogging about my lifestyle changes in this sorta format but I will continue to be open and honest with you. Thanks for being on this ride with me.
