FAMU student’s death ruled a homicide
I was getting my daily news on the internet today and came across an article that stated that the 26 year old FAMU student, Robert Champion, who died last month after a hazing incident–his death has been ruled a homicide. Its unfortunate. His autopsy report is available to view online.
Even when I was a student at Hampton University, I didn’t understand how hazing made you a better fraternity brother or sorority sister. I’ve never believed that physical abuse, torture aka HAZING was good for anyone. How many lives will we lose before hazing is outlawed. Robert Champion should not have died after a suspected hazing incident at the hands of fellow students at FAMU. This should not have happened.
If you are thinking about joining a group that wants to haze you, make sure you ask yourself, “Is joining this group worth risking my life?”
