Remember to Empower Yourself
I often run across people who aspire to be authors and/or empowerment speakers. I meet people wherever I go that have a story to tell. I encounter many who desire to have an audience listen to them. I have found both as an author and a speaker that you cannot truly empower anyone else unless you have empowered yourself. What does it mean to empower yourself?
1) Not making assumptions about anything or anyone.
2)Handling yourself in a respectful manner.
3) Knowing that no one can bring you down to their level without your participation.
4) Always try to make the best of a bad situation.
5) Realize when its time to cut your losses.
Living an empowered life is living on your own terms. Its finding happiness where you are. Its living your life in a way that you can be proud of how you behaved. No one has a right to bring you down or bring you into their negativity. For everyone who truly wants to impact others and empower others, remember you must empower yourself.
When was the last time you had to empower yourself despite the negativity that may have been swirling around you? I’d love to hear your stories.
