A letter to my clients, fans & friends
Many of you have supported my writing since I was the Editor-In-Chief of Mad Rhythms magazine. Lots of you followed me when I became the author of the Blueprint empowerment series for girls. I met a new group of fans and friends when I wrote the sexy novels Exclusive and Privacy. Those books were for grown ups. As I continued to evolve, I have continued to have the best clients, fans and friends which have allowed me to write better, do better, and really live the life of my dreams.
“Nobody gets anywhere that they really want to be without the help of others. I realize this and it is the reason that I am so appreciative. The college students who loved Mad Rhythms gave me courage. The Blueprint girls gave me strength. The Exclusive fans gave me audacity. The Privacy crowd gave me boldness. The Retaliation fans gave me purpose like I never would have imagined. The Can She Be Saved devotees gave me promise as if a right hand was on the bible. Everything that I don’t have, along the way, my clients, my fans and my friends have given me.”

I don’t complain about the people that don’t support me. I’m too busy being grateful for the ones that do.
After 100 agents rejected the Blueprint for My Girls manuscript, I thought that it wasn’t worthy of publication. I was wrong… That book ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me.
Even when you are rejected, you have to decide if you know better than they or do they know better than you…
In my life, I’ve rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Its hard being right a lot of the time. Most people don’t like that very much.
I often chant to myself, “Either help me or get out of my way!” Its my attitude.
Be a part of the solution!
Do Something.
Stop complaining!
Start fighting back!
Being an Entrepreneur has Helped A lot
I’m an entrepreneur out of necessity. After you get enough people telling you, “no,” you’ll either quit or decide to do some things yourself. I’m the latter. I became a magazine publisher when a screenwriting door closed in my face. I became a book publisher when too many agents shut the door in my face. My journey has plenty of closed doors, but it has doors that I’ve kicked in and new paths that I’ve created. I am not mad.

A wonderful family
Though this letter is to my clients, fans and friends, I want to give a shout out to my immediate family. They are so supportive of me. They love me. I hope that everyone gets the kind of love in their lives that I’ve been blessed with. Its one of a kind.

I am enjoying this ride. Everything hasn’t happened the way that I wanted it to but I sure am having fun. I don’t complain much. I still get nervous about things, and fear some times creeps inside of my head. But, somehow, I manage to keep going. I guess its all of you that I know believe in me. You’re a large part of what keeps me going! — Peace & Love, Yasmin
