Speak Your DreamsHey everyone! I’m in London for the next several days to support the screening of my film, Growing Up Positive at the BFM International Film Festival in London.

How did I get here?

I’ve always wanted to visit London and I claimed in 2014 that I’d be going in 2015 no matter what. In early 2015, I was invited by the lovely people at BFM International Film Festival to premiere Growing Up Positive in London. And, I said, “What better way to spend my first time in London than supporting one of my film projects?” So, here I am. This trip was an example of  how believing in yourself can make a difference and how to ‘Speak Your Dreams Into Existence.’

On my first day in London, I visited the National Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Churchill’s War Room Exhibit, St James’ Park, etc. There are so many statues and stuff its crazy. I walked almost 6 miles but I truly enjoyed every step.

As I walked over the Westminster bridge and sat next to the London Eye, I thought about how I decided in 2014 that I’d visit London. I didn’t allow any excuses for myself. I committed to it and it happened. I’m always looking to learn from my experiences and this first trip to London has taught me five things:

  1. Decide to do something and do it.
  2. Speak about your commitment to the things you want in your life.
  3. Be grateful for all of your blessings.
  4. Enjoy your life as much as possible.
  5. Believe in Yourself, no matter what.

I will be posting more photos of my London trip on my instagram. On instagram, I am @superduperyasmin
