Okay, so I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Stevie Wonder is one of my favorite musicians in the whole wide world. Okay, now the cat is out of the bag.
Stevie Wonder came to DC and performed on Saturday, October 3rd. According to Stevie the concert would be his last DC concert performing “Songs In The Key of Life.” I had such a great time. I’m sharing with you some photos and video that I took from the concert. The concert was so wonderful. It was the best concert that I’ve ever been to… And I’ve been to some concerts in my life…
I wanted to share this post because seeing Stevie Wonder in concert was a dream come true. I’ve always been a Stevie fan, but to see him in person, to hear him live was just a thrill beyond words. And, it reminded me to be thankful for my blessings and to use my voice every day and not to waste time doing things are that insignificant or irrelevant.
So, thank you, Stevie. Here’s a clip of him singing at the concert. I love him so much! I was on the verge of tears throughout the entire 3 hour concert. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!
- It was 3 hours long.
- EVERYONE–from Stevie’s orchestra to the back up singers–was extremely talented.
- Stevie’s voice sounds EXACTLY like the records. No cracking. No lip synch. Just smoothness.
- Stevie Wonder could have a second career as a stand up comedian. Yes, he’s just that funny.
- I’d pay to see this concert again. He hit all the right notes. The Songs In The Key of Life was one of the best albums ever and to see him sing it–I’m really just speechless.
Peace & Love,
